From first chat to

final call

The experience you’ll have

Your experience starts one of two ways: some technical roles require an online coding assessment as part of pre-selection, while others begin with a recruiter conversation about the role and cultural fit.

We'll be honest about what the role requires - the good, the great, and what some find challenging. You'll always know where you stand. We move quickly when we can, communicate clearly when things change, and respect your time.

If we're not a fit, we'll tell you why constructively. If we are? You'll join a place built for your best work.

What to expect from the process

  • A conversation about your experience, motivations, and how your values align with ours. This is where we get to know you - and you get to know us. What to expect:

    • Come prepared - Review our story beforehand so we can jump straight into the good stuff.
    • We'll start with quick intros, followed by questions about your experience, motivations, and what drives you. We'll also cover the admin, like availability, location, and expectations.
    • Since we operate globally, a portion of this call may be conducted in English to assess your communication style. If the role requires fluency in another language, we'll let you know in advance.
    • We'll always leave a few minutes at the end for any specific questions you have for us.
    • To stay fully focused on you, our recruiters use an AI notetaker to capture details so they don't get distracted taking notes. If you'd prefer we didn't use it, let us know at the start of the call.
  • Meet your manager, teammates & potential stakeholders. Learn more about the culture, the role, and what success looks like. We want to understand what drives you and whether we're a mutual fit.

    • We'll start with introductions, then move into experience-based and behavioral questions. These questions help us understand how you think, solve problems, and collaborate with others.
    • STAR Method in Action: Many questions will be behavioral (e.g., "Tell me about a time when..." or "How did you handle..."). Use the STAR method to structure your answers clearly and concisely (more on this in our ‘How to prepare for your interview section!).
    • This interview will typically be held in English to mirror our daily working environment. If the role requires fluency in another language, we'll let you know.
    • As always, we'll leave time for you to ask the team questions about the role, the team dynamics, and our culture.
  • Show us what you can do. Depending on the role, you might present a case study, write code, conduct a mock demo, or solve a business challenge.

Don't worry - these are always hypothetical scenarios or problems we've already figured out internally. We're not looking for free work; we're looking to see how you think, solve problems, and communicate your approach.

  • A final discussion with one of our leaders to ensure alignment on vision, values, and expectations.

This is about making sure we're set up for long-term success together.

  • Your recruiter works with the hiring team to ensure you get a full and fair review.

We'll get back to you with a decision and clear next steps.
