Applying for a new role takes time and energy, so we want to be upfront about how we work, who we're looking for, and what you can expect from the process.
Most roles follow a similar structure:
Recruiter screen → team interview → skills/task assessment → (for senior roles) leadership conversation → review and decision.

It depends on the role and scheduling, but we aim to move quickly. Typically, the process takes 2–4 weeks from application to offer. We'll give you a clearer timeline after your first conversation with our recruiter.
We're a remote-first company, so most interviews are conducted virtually. For some roles or locations, there may be an option to meet in person, but we'll let you know when you start the process with us.
Review the job description and be ready to discuss your experience with the technologies and challenges listed. For assessments, we'll provide clear instructions in advance. Focus on demonstrating how you think, solve problems, and collaborate, not just what you know.
You'll meet your recruiter first, then your potential manager and teammates. For senior roles, you'll also speak with a member of our leadership team. We want you to get a full picture of who you'd be working with.
We use structured interviews, clear evaluation criteria, and diverse hiring panels. Our AI tools are regularly audited for bias. Every candidate goes through the same process and is evaluated on the same standards. We're committed to transparency, fairness, and giving everyone an equal shot.
For most roles at Booksy (around 90%), yes - fluent English is essential. English is our company-wide language, and it's how we collaborate across our five markets, run meetings, share strategy updates, and build culture together. It's not just about communication; it's about being able to contribute fully and feel connected to our global team.
That said, we do hire for a small number of positions where lower English proficiency is acceptable. If the role you're applying for is one of those exceptions, your recruiter will let you know during your first conversation. For team members in those roles, we offer English classes to help you build the fluency needed to grow with Booksy and engage more deeply with the team over time.

We're remote-first, which means most roles can be done from anywhere within our key markets (Poland, U.S., UK, Spain, France). Some roles may require proximity to a specific region for time zone alignment or occasional in-person collaboration, but we'll be upfront about that in the job description.
